> Stumbling and falling (𰷻蹶: the first character has the fanqie 典年; the Shuowen jiezi says: '𧽍 means stumbling while running. Formed from \[the semantic component\] "run" (走) and has 真 as phonetic; it is also written with "foot" as 蹎, or as 傎.' In the treatise, it is written with "head" as 顛, meaning the high crown of the head, which does not fit this meaning. The second character has the fanqie 卷曰; Jia's Commentary on the Guoyu says: '蹶 means running fast.' Gu Yewang says: '蹶 conveys the sense of being startled and rushing in haste.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'To fall stiffly. Formed from \[the semantic component\] "foot" (足) and has 厥 as phonetic; it is also written as 𧽸.').
