鴟等（上齒之反字書云鴟鳶屬也字林字統並云鴟鳥也鴟謂𪁪鴟也古今正字從鳥氐聲𪁪音邈講反氐音底泥反字書又從至作鵄音義皆同）。

> Kites and the like (鴟等; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 齒之 \[chī\]. The Zishu states: 'The 鴟 (chī) belongs to the kite species.' Both the Zilin and the Zitong state: 'The 鴟 is a bird; 鴟 refers to the hawk-kite (鷂鴟).' The Gujin zhengzi states that it takes 'bird' \[鳥\] as radical and 氐 as phonetic; 鷂 is pronounced with the fanqie 邈講 \[bǎng\], and 氐 is pronounced with the fanqie 底泥 \[dī\]. The Zishu also writes it with 至 as 鵄; its sound and meaning are both identical).
