> Tripod-supported vessel (入支, \*zhi\*, fanqie: 只移): this is a water pitcher of the heterodox non-Buddhists. It is round like a calabash, lacking feet, and three sticks are crossed together to support the jar. In various sūtras, it is sometimes referred to as 'holding a three-branched upright stand' or 'a three-pronged upright stand', all of which are this. In the treatise text, it is written as 鈘, which is incorrect.
