> 佩觿 (Wearing an ivory bodkin: the first is \*bu-mwoj\* \[pèi\]; Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: "Objects worn on the body are called \*pei\*." The Shuowen \[says\]: "A large sash pendant; formed with the person radical and phonetic \*bèi\*; there must be a kerchief, hence formed with the cloth radical; the cloth is an ornament." The second is \*xjo-kwjij\* \[xī\]; the Maoshi commentary says: "The \*xi\* is what is used to untie knots, denoting the bearing of an adult." Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: "Shaped like an awl, made of elephant bone." The Shuowen \[says\]: "Formed with the horn radical and phonetic \*guī\*." In the transmission, written as 觿 is an erroneous popular form; \*guī\* is \*huì-guī\* \[xī/guī\]).
