(Post-relay steeds: the first is \*yow-gjuw\* \[yóu\]; Zheng's commentary on the Erya says: "A \*you\* is a transit-stop on a road." Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: "A \*you\* is a marker." The Shuowen \[says\]: "A station for dispatching documents on the borders; formed with the city radical and phonetic \*chui\*." In the transmission, written with \[午/止\] as 卸 is pronounced \*xing-yè\* \[xiè\], which is the character for unsaddling a horse, contrary to the original meaning. The second is \*tswin-tswin\* \[jùn\]; Guo's commentary on the Erya says: "A fine appellation for a horse; \*jun\* also means swift." The Shuowen \[says\]: "A horse of excellent capacity; formed with the horse radical and phonetic \*qun\*").
