惑壍（上弘國反論案文惑壍疑是城字若不從心則誤今改從心作惑下七焰反字書與廣雅並云壍長坑也顧野王云謂今之城池之壍也說文壍亦坑也從土漸聲論從斬作塹非此也）。

> Moat of the city-wall 惑壍 (the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 弘 + 國; examining the text of the Treatise, huo qian 惑壍 is suspected to be cheng qian 城壍 \[city moat\]; if it does not take the heart radical 心 then it is mistaken, and here it is altered to take the heart radical to make 惑. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 七 + 焰; the wordbooks and the Guangya both say: "Qian is a long trench." Gu Yewang says: "This refers to what is now the moat of a city wall." The Shuowen jiezi states that a qian is also a trench; it takes the earth radical 土 and the phonetic 漸. In the Treatise it is written with 斬 as 塹, which is not this character).
