> Armillary sphere 㻢璣 (the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 徐 + 緣; the second character is pronounced with the fanqie 凡 + 希; the Book of Documents says: "Examining the armillary sphere and jade transverse tube to regulate the Seven Governors," which is an example. Guo \[Pu's\] commentary on the Classic of Mountains and Seas says: "Xuan is a fine jade." The Shuowen jiezi says: "A ji is an unrounded pearl." Both characters xuan and ji take the jade radical 玉, with 旋 and 幾 respectively serving as phonetics. In the Treatise text it is written with the foot radical 足 as 𨁁, which is a vulgar character; it is also written with 睿 as \[琥-儿+(((嘹-口)-小)-日+目)\], which is incorrect).
