惛戇（上昏悶反考聲云惛老而多志也孔注尚書云亂也說文從心昏聲論或作昏誤下卓絳反考聲云戇精神不爽也說文云戇愚也從心贛聲贛𰪡文貢字爽音霜講反）。

> Muddled and foolish 惛戇 (the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 昏 + 悶; the Kaosheng says: "Hun means being aged and excessively obstinate." Kong \[Anguo's\] commentary on the Book of Documents says: "Confused." The Shuowen jiezi states that it takes the heart radical 心 and the phonetic 昏. In the Treatise it is sometimes written as 昏, which is an error. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 卓 + 絳; the Kaosheng says: "Zhuang means having an unsound spirit." The Shuowen jiezi says: "Zhuang means foolish; it takes the heart radical 心 and the phonetic 贛." 贛 is the seal-script form of the character 貢. The character 爽 is pronounced with the fanqie 霜 + 講).
