襤縷（上臘躭反孔注論語云襤麻蘊也鄭注禮記蘊亦綿纊也又云舊蕠也說文作縕從絲昷聲昷音溫下龍女反說文云縷綾也從糸婁聲婁音樓也）。

> Tattered rags (襤縷: the first character has the fanqie 臘 + 躭. Kong \[Anguo's\] commentary on the Analects says: "Lán means quilted hemp wadding." Zheng \[Xuan's\] commentary on the Book of Rites says that quilted wadding is also floss silk; it also says it means old hemp refuse. The Shuowen jiezi writes it as 縕, taking 絲 as semantic classifier and 昷 as phonetic component; 昷 is pronounced wēn. The second character has the fanqie 龍 + 女. The Shuowen jiezi says: "Lǚ means patterned silk ribbon." It takes 糸 as semantic classifier and 婁 as phonetic component; 婁 is pronounced lóu).
