The caps at both ends of an axle hub; another explanation says it is a grease horn: when roasted by fire, the grease flows out. Prince Si of Chen \[Cao Zhi\] had an identical metaphor of greasing the axle-ends, meaning that the talents and learning of Huijing were likewise \[inexhaustible\]. It derives from 車 \[chariot\] with 果 as phonetic).
