> Yuezhuo bird (鸑鷟) (The upper character has the fanqie 顏角 \[yuè\]; the lower character has the fanqie 崇學 \[zhuó\]. The Guangya says: "A mythical bird belonging to the phoenix genus." The Shuowen agrees in meaning and also says: "When the Zhou arose, it cried on Mount Qi. In the Yangzi River there is the yuezhuo, resembling a bird but large with red eyes." Both characters take 鳥 'bird' as semantic, with 獄 and 族 as phonetics).
