魏闕（巍貴反淮南子云心居魏闕周禮云謂天闕為象魏魏高大之稱也從委鬼聲集從馬作騩音貴字統云馬淺黑色也非魏闕義）。

> Palace gate-towers (魏闕) (wei pronounced with the fanqie 巍貴 \[wēi + guì = wèi\]: the Huainanzi says, "His mind dwells at the imperial gate-towers." The Zhouli says that the heavenly gate-towers are called xiangwei (象魏); wei is a designation for something lofty and grand; it is classified under 委 with 鬼 as its phonetic. The Collected \[Edition\] writes it with the radical 馬 as 騩, pronounced 貴; the Zitong says it means a light black horse, which is not the meaning of 魏闕).
