穿脇（下許業反說文云肚兩旁脇也從肉劦聲也劦音叶從三力經文從三刀作刕非也）。

> Piercing the ribs (穿脇: the second character has the fanqie 許業 \[xié\]. The Shuowen says: "The two sides of the belly are the ribs (脇)." It is formed from 肉 (flesh) with 劦 as the phonetic component. 劦 has the pronunciation yè; it is formed from three 力 (forces). In the sūtra text it is written with three 刀 (knives) as 刕, which is incorrect).
