> Emaciated and frail (尫羸: the first character has the fanqie 烏光 \[wāng\]. The Kaosheng says: "Broken." Du's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: "Emaciated and sick." The Shuowen says: "Crooked shins; formed from 犬 (dog), depicting a bent single leg, with 王 as the phonetic component." In the sūtra text it is written with 兀 as 尫, which is an error. The second character has the fanqie 力追 \[léi\]. Jia's commentary on the Guoyu says: "羸 means sick." Du Yu's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: "Weak." The Shuowen says: "羸 means lean." It is formed from 羊 (sheep) and 𣎆, which has the fanqie 力戈 \[luó\]).
