懕懕（伊占反平聲爾雅云懕懕媞媞安也郭注云好人安靜之容也說文云從心厭聲也傳文單作厭音於艷反見也非此用媞音大兮反）。

> Yanyan 懕懕 (Pronounced with the fanqie phonetic spelling \[y- + -ān \> y-\] yī zhān 反, level tone. The Erya says: "Yanyan titi 懕懕媞媞 means tranquil." Guo's commentary says: "The quiet and composed appearance of a refined person." The Shuowen jiezi says: "It takes the heart radical with 厭 as the phonetic." In transmitted texts it is written singly as 厭, pronounced with the fanqie phonetic spelling yū yàn 反, meaning to see; this is not appropriate for this usage. Ti 媞 has the fanqie phonetic spelling dà xī 反).
