鏗鍠（上客行反禮記云子夏曰鐘聲鏗鏗是也又撞擊之聲也下音宏毛詩傳云鐘鼓鍠鍠爾雅云鍠鍠樂也說文云鐘鼓聲也從金皇聲也傳文作鍧音呼宏反鐘鼓相雜聲也）。

> Clanging and booming (鏗鍠: the first character is \[pronounced with the fanqie\] ke + xing; the Liji says: "Zixia said: 'The sound of bells is keng-keng,'" which is this; it also means the sound of striking; the second character has the sound hong; the Mao commentary to the Shijing says: "The bells and drums are booming \[鍠鍠\]"; the Erya says: "Huanghuang \[鍠鍠\] denotes music"; the Shuowen says it is the sound of bells and drums, formed from metal \[金\] with huang as phonetic; the transmitted text has hong \[鍧\], pronounced with the fanqie hu + hong, meaning the mingled sound of bells and drums).
