> Harmonious and reverent (雍肅: the first character has the fanqie 於 + 容; Erya says, “Yōngyōng means harmonious.” Guo Pu's commentary says, “Harmonious and joyful.” It is also written 邕, or correctly 癰 in Erya; both are identical. The second character has the fanqie 息 + 竹; Erya says, “Sùsù means respectful.” Guo's commentary says, “Demeanor is cautious and reverent.” The character 肅 takes 𦘒 and \[(棩-木)-一\]; 𦘒 has the fanqie 女 + 輒, belonging to dried brushwood. \[(棩-木)-一\] is the ancient script for spring (泉), with both sides resembling banks and the horizontal stroke resembling water; inserting 𦘒 into the middle creates an impression of solemnity; it is an ideogram).
