枯涸（上康胡反考聲云木乾死也或從歹作㱠古字也下河各反賈注國語云涸竭也廣雅云盡也說文云從水從固聲）。

> 枯涸 (The first character is pronounced with the fanqie \*k-\*, \[ku\], from 康 and 胡. The \*Kaosheng\* states: 'It means trees drying up and dying.' It is also written with 歹 as 㱠, which is an ancient character. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie \*h-\*, \[he\], from 河 and 各. Jia's commentary on the \*Guoyu\* states: '涸 means dried up.' The \*Guangya\* states: 'It means exhausted.' The \*Shuowen\* states: 'It takes 水 \[water\] as semantic and 固 as phonetic.')
