萎悴（上於媯反韻英云萎蔫也說文從草萎聲言草委在地也下情醉反案萎悴宜作瘁顇爾雅云病也悴憂也經作忰俗字）。

> 萎悴 (for the first character, \[wěi\], fanqie 於媯 \[ʔ- + -wiɛ = ʔwiɛ/wěi\]. The Yunying says: “萎 means withered and drooping.” The Shuowen says: “It takes 草 as radical and 萎 as phonetic, meaning grass fallen limp upon the ground.” For the second character, \[cuì\], fanqie 情醉 \[dz- + -yis = dzyi/cuì\]. It is noted that 萎悴 ought properly to be written 瘁 or 顇. The Erya says: “It means illness.” 悴 means sorrow. In the sūtra it is written with the vulgar character 忰.)
