> Dragon pool \[龍湫\] (The first character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 力 + 鍾; the Qieyun says ruler; the Record of Rites states: "The tortoise, dragon, qilin, and phoenix are the four auspicious portents"; the Book of Changes states: "Clouds follow the dragon"; the Lunheng states: "The dragon is also a domestic animal; in antiquity there was the Dragon-rearing Clan; if it were not a domestic animal, how could it be reared?" The second character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 即 + 由; the Qieyun says the name of a water deity; the Kaosheng says a qiu is a pooling, meaning non-flowing water).
