線絣（上私箭反周禮曰線人掌王宮縫線之事切韻縷線也又作綫同下北萠反切韻振繩纆使直也俗從手作拼使也經文從木作拼音并乃拼櫚木名並非線絣字）。

> Chalk line snapping (線絣) (the first character is si + jian fan \[xiàn\]; Zhouli says: "The thread-maker manages the royal palace's thread-sewing affairs." Qieyun: "Strand of thread." Also written 線, which is the same. The second character is bei + meng fan \[bēng\]; Qieyun: "Vibrating a cord to make it straight." Popularly written with the hand radical as 拼, meaning to direct. The scripture text writes 拼 with the wood radical, pronounced bing, which is the name of the palm tree \[binglü\], and not the character for chalk line snapping).
