蘇彌盧（舊云須彌或云彌樓皆梵言訛也今正云蘇彌盧此翻為妙高也即俱舍論云妙高層有四是也又云蘇彌盧欲天梵世各一千唐梵互舉一名也）。

> 蘇彌盧 \[Sumeru\]: Formerly rendered as Xumi (須彌) or Milou (彌樓), both being corruptions of the Sanskrit. The correct form nowadays is Sumilu (蘇彌盧), translated as ‘Wonderfully High’ (Miaogao). This is what the Abhidharmakośa-bhāṣya refers to in stating: ‘The Wonderfully High has four tiers.’ It is also said that there are a thousand Sumerus for the desire heavens and for the Brahmā worlds respectively. Mentioning both Chinese and Sanskrit together is a single name.
