疲厭（上音皮賈注國語疲勞也廣雅勌也從疒皮聲下伊焰反考聲飽也亦倦也說文云從犬甘肉作厭犬甘於肉也今俗變作厭字通用）。

> 疲厭 \[Weary and satiated\]: The upper \[character\] has the sound 皮 (pí); Jia's commentary to the Guoyu says, “Fatigued.” The Guangya says, “Weary.” It derives from 疒 with the phonetic 皮. The lower \[character\] has the fanqie 伊焰 (yī + yàn = yàn); the Kaosheng says, “Full; also weary.” The Shuowen says, “Deriving from 犬 \[dog\] and 甘肉 \[sweet meat\], written as 厭; a dog relishing meat.” Today it has colloquially changed into the character 厭, which is commonly used.
