瘡疱（上楚良反玉篇云瘡痍也禮記云頭有瘡則沐古文作創下防教反切韻作靤面瘡也說文正作皰皮起也今律文作疱俗字也）。

> 瘡疱 (The upper character is 楚 + 良 with fanqie. The Yupian says: '瘡痍 means sores and wounds.' The Liji says: 'When there are sores on the head, one washes the hair.' The ancient script writes it as 創. The lower character is 防 + 教 with fanqie. The Qieyun writes it as 靤, meaning facial sores. The Shuowen writes the standard form as 皰, meaning the skin rising in a blister. In the present vinaya text it is written as 疱, which is a popular form).
