> 【Śikhin】 The \*Dàzhìdù lùn\* says: "In the language of Qin, it means 'Fire', or is translated as 'Fire Crest' (Huoshou)." The \*Fǎhuá shū\* says: "Foreign countries call fire \*jyotiḥ-śikhin\*. This king originally cultivated the fire samādhi to break through the delusions of the desire realm, establishing his name after his virtue." It also says: "The sūtra notes the Brahma King and then mentions Śikhin, seemingly as if they were two persons. According to the \*Dàzhìdù lùn\*, it is precisely Śikhin who is the king; here, presenting his title to make his name evident, it probably refers to one person." Sengzhao says: "Śikhin is the name of a Brahma King, in the language of Qin meaning 'topknot' (dingji)."
