> 【Aṅgulimāla】 The Record of the Western Regions states: “In the Tang language, it is ‘Finger Garland’ (Zhǐmán). The old translation was Yāngjuémóluó, which is an error. He murdered people and took their fingers, crowning his head with them as a garland.” The Aṅgulimāla Sūtra says: “His teacher taught him to kill people, limiting the count to a hundred, stringing together one finger from each to make a garland for his head.” It is also translated as “Manifestation to All the World” (Yīqiè Shìjiān Xiàn).
