【闍（音社）提闍羅】秦言生。《大品》闍字門，入諸法生不可得故。論曰：「即知諸法生老不可得聞。」《華嚴》唱社字時，名入世間海清淨。疏云：「即能所生起。」

> \[Jātijarā\] In the language of Qin, it means "birth." The syllable ja door in the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra is because birth of all dharmas is ungraspable. The Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa says: "One immediately knows that the birth and aging of all dharmas cannot be heard \[as real entities\]." In the Avataṃsaka Sūtra, when chanting the syllable ja (pronounced she), it is named "entering the purity of the ocean of the worldly realm." The Commentary says: "That is that which can give rise and what is given rise to."
