> Furthermore, there was a monk of Wuhou Monastery in Mangyang whose name has been lost. He made reciting the Saddharmapuṇḍarīka-sūtra his regular vocation. At his death, he was provisionally interred beneath an embankment. Later, when they moved his burial, his skeleton was entirely withered, yet his tongue alone was uncorrupted. In Yongzhou, there was a monk who also recited the Saddharmapuṇḍarīka-sūtra and lived in seclusion on Mount Bailu, evoking a boy to attend upon him. When he died, his corpse was placed beneath a cliff; the rest of his body was entirely withered, yet his tongue alone remained as before.
