He was skilled in the learning of the Tripiṭaka. Formerly, during the Linde era, the śramaṇa Huining of Chengdu in the prefecture of Yi purposefully traveled to India to pay homage to the sacred traces. Sailing west on a ship, his route passed through the country of Baling, where he joined with Jñānabhadra to translate the Mahāparinirvāṇa-sūtra crematorial section, one work (two fascicles), and sent the text back to Jiaozhou.
