> The Sūtra of the Second Assembly of the Mahāprajñāpāramitā, seventy-eight fascicles (contemporary popular titles call it the "Newly Translated Larger Prajñāpāramitā and Fangguang Prajñāpāramitā"; newly compiled above).
> The Sūtra of the Fourth Assembly of the Mahāprajñāpāramitā, eighteen fascicles (contemporary popular titles call it the "Newly Translated Daoxing and Smaller Prajñāpāramitā"; newly compiled above).
> The Sūtra of the Most Victorious Heavenly King's Prajñā, eight fascicles (also called the "Newly Translated Victorious Heavenly King's Prajñā"; it is the sixth assembly of the Mahāprajñāpāramitā; newly compiled above).
> The Mañjuśrī Prajñā Sūtra, two fascicles (also called the "Newly Translated Mañjuśrī Prajñā"; it is the seventh assembly of the Mahāprajñāpāramitā; newly compiled above).
> The Adhyardhaśatikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra, one fascicle (it is the tenth assembly of the Mahāprajñāpāramitā; newly compiled above).
> The five sūtras from the Second Assembly downward all derive from the Mahāprajñāpāramitā.
> The Great Wisdom Limitless Sūtra, four fascicles (not the one in the canon).
> The Wisdom Limitless Parable Sūtra, three fascicles (or called Limitless Parable Sūtra; or in four fascicles; or with "Great" prefixed).
> The Sūtra of Comprehensively Gathering Inexhaustible Meanings, two fascicles.
> The Prajñāpāramitā Dhāraṇī Sūtra, one fascicle.
> The four sūtras from the Great Wisdom Limitless downward are all stated in the Sui Catalogue of the Scriptures to derive from the Larger Prajñāpāramitā.
> The Mahāprajñāpāramitā Daoxing Sūtra, two fascicles (also simply called Daoxing Sūtra; newly compiled above).
> Regarding the one sūtra above: The catalogues of Fei Changfang and others all state that it was abridged by the upāsaka Wei Shidu during the reign of Emperor Hui of the Western Jin. It was edited and adapted from the older Daoxing \[Sūtra\], and is merely an essential variant extraction from the Smaller Prajñāpāramitā and Fangguang, etc. (The cataloguer notes: Since it is an abridgement extracted from the larger sūtra, it belongs to the category of extracted texts. Fearing that including it among the orthodox sūtras would cause error, it is appended to this section of the catalogue.)
> The eleven works in one hundred and nineteen fascicles from the Sūtra of the Second Assembly of the Mahāprajñāpāramitā downward are extracted texts from the Prajñā section.
> The Guhyakādhipati-vajrapāṇi-mahāyakṣa-senāpati Sūtra, two fascicles (derived from the Guhyakādhipati Assembly; the entry below in the Neidian and other catalogues which incorporated it into the orthodox scriptures was mistaken; newly compiled above).
> The Bodhisattva-satyadarśana-samādhi Sūtra, two fascicles (derived from the Bodhisattva-satyadarśana Assembly; an excerpt of repeated text in the Chapter on the Distinction of the Six Realms; newly compiled above).
> The Sūtra on Possessing Wholesome Roots, one fascicle (derived from the lower fascicle of the Pūrṇa Assembly; that is, an excerpt from the old three-fascicle Bodhisattvapiṭaka Sūtra).
> The Sūtra of the Chapter on the Wholesome Shoulder, one fascicle (derived from the Subāhu-bodhisattva Assembly).
> The Excerpted Ratnakūṭa Sūtra, one fascicle (derived from the Prabhasa-bodhisattva Assembly; that is, an excerpt from the old single-fascicle Ratnakūṭa Sūtra).
> The five sūtras from Guhyaka downward all derive from the Mahāratnakūṭa Sūtra.
> The Sūtra of the Bodhisattva Presenting Offerings, Going to Stūpas, and Making Vows, one fascicle (or titled "Various Stūpas"; an excerpt from the upper fascicle).
> The Sūtra of the Past Dispositions and Harmonious Buddha Land Vows and Practices Dharma Canon, one fascicle (or with "Shenghe" \["arising harmony"\]; Sengyou's catalogue says it is an excerpt from the upper fascicle; newly compiled above).
> The Sūtra of Bodhisattva Siṃhavikrāntagāmin Asking Mañjuśrī about Arousing the Aspiration, one fascicle (an excerpt from the upper fascicle).
> The Sūtra of Bodhisattva Siṃhavikrāntagāmin Asking Mañjuśrī about the Affairs at the Time of Attaining Buddhahood, one fascicle (an excerpt from the lower fascicle).
> The Sūtra on the Three Dharmas of a Bodhisattva, one fascicle.
> The Sūtra of Elder Renouncing Evil Asking about Bodhisattva Dharmas, one fascicle.
> The six sūtras from Bodhisattva Presenting Offerings downward derive from the Sūtra on Adorning and Purifying the Buddha Land of Mañjuśrī.
> The Sūtra of the Names of the Thirty-five Buddhas, one fascicle (derived from the Vinayaviniścaya Sūtra).
> The Bodhisattva Method of Giving and Repentance, one fascicle (also derived from the Vinayaviniścaya Sūtra).
> The thirteen works in fifteen fascicles from the Guhyakādhipati-vajrapāṇi Sūtra downward are extracted texts from the Ratnakūṭa section.
> The Sūtra of the Buddha Entering Samādhi and Emitting Great Light from a Single Hair, one fascicle (an excerpt from the first fascicle).
> The Bodhisattva Necklace Adornment Sūtra, one fascicle (Sengyou's catalogue calls it the Sūtra of Bodhisattva Adornment and Necklaces; an excerpt from the first fascicle).
> The Sūtra of Bodhisattva Īśvararāja Asking the Tathāgata about Admonitions, one fascicle (or called the Sūtra of the Bodhisattva's Moral Body Being Free; an excerpt from the first fascicle; newly compiled above).
> The Sūtra of the Buddha's Cough Reaching the Ten Directions, one fascicle (an excerpt from the second fascicle).
> The Sūtra of the Eight Radiations, one fascicle (an excerpt from the second fascicle).

> The Sūtra of Śāriputra Asking the Jewel Maiden, one fascicle (derived from the Jewel Maiden Chapter).
> The Sūtra of Śāriputra Praising the Jewel Maiden Speaking the Inconceivable, one fascicle (derived from the Jewel Maiden Chapter; also called Sūtra Praising the Jewel Maiden).

> The Sūtra of the Jewel Maiden Asking about the Thirty-two Marks, one fascicle (or called Explaining the Thirty-two Marks; one calls it Sūtra Asking about Wisdom; one calls it Sūtra on the Thirty-two Matters; one calls it Sūtra of the Jewel Maiden Asking; derived from the Jewel Maiden Chapter).
> The Jewel-Giving Maiden Sūtra, one fascicle (derived from the Jewel Maiden Chapter; or called Jewel Maiden's Giving).
> The Sūtra of the Jewel Maiden Asking about Wisdom, one fascicle (an excerpt from the separate four-fascicle translation of the Jewel Maiden Sūtra; also called Excerpt of the Jewel Maiden Chapter).
> The Sūtra of Seeing the Water Realm, one fascicle (an excerpt from the eighth fascicle).
> The Sūtra on Piercing the Bodhicitta, one fascicle (an excerpt of three sheets from the Chapter on Sāgaramati in the ninth fascicle).
> The Sūtra of Bodhisattva Guṇaratnaprabha Asking about Protection and Upholding, one fascicle (Sengyou's catalogue says it is an excerpt; the Chen catalogue says it is an excerpt from the ninth fascicle of the Mahāsaṃnipāta; newly compiled above).

> (To the right, regarding this Yiqie shiwang jing, all the catalogues say it was translated by Kumārajīva. In the catalogue of extracted texts it is called the Sahetan wang jing, and there is also this sūtra among the anonymous translations after the Han. The sūtra states that 'Sahetan' means 'universal giving'. Collating it with that sūtra, the text is identical and has no differences; hence it is compiled here.)

Upon examining its text now, it is indeed the Shihebiamwang jing with no difference. The Shihebiamwang jing takes its title from the initial circumstances, while the Cheni benmo jing establishes its name based on the subsequent text. > The above forty-four works in forty-four fascicles, from the Shidu wuji jing downwards, are all extracted from the Liudu ji jing. In an old catalogue there is the Zhongxin zhengxing jing in one fascicle, which is also said to be extracted from the Liudu jing; but upon examining the text, it is not found, so it is omitted. (The five sūtras Homeiwang jing, Xiangwang jing, Pusa wei luwang jing, Mawang jing, and Jingmianwang jing, although recorded in various catalogues under identical titles to these, are all newly compiled above.)
> Neng mie zhuzui qianzhuan tuoluoni jing, one fascicle (this is one of the five dhāraṇī incantations translated by Dharma Master Xuanzang; being of the class of extracted texts, it is therefore recorded in this catalogue; newly compiled above);
> Baoman pin chao jing, one fascicle (extracted from the Baowang jing);
> Chengyang zhofo gongde jing, one fascicle (Sengyou's catalogue says: an extract from the three-fascicle Chengyang gongde jing; it may have no textual difference from the subsequent sūtra; newly compiled above);
> Baohai rulai deng shifang baiqishi foming jing, one fascicle (the Chen Catalogue says: an extract from the Chengyang gongde jing; also called Lifo gongde jing; newly compiled above);
> De neifengyanwang foming jing, one fascicle (Sengyou's catalogue says: an extract; upon examination now, this Buddha-name appears in the upper fascicle of the Chengyang gongde jing, so it is extracted from the upper fascicle of that sūtra; newly compiled above);
> Guoqu wushisan foming jing, one fascicle (also called Wushisan foming jing; extracted from the Guan Yaowang Yaoshang jing);

The opening preface to the Thousand Buddhas' Names says: 'The Bhadrakalpika-sūtra speaks of two thousand one hundred perfections, headed by Krakucchanda Buddha.' This sūtra has an alternative translation headed by Konākamana Buddha, which is this one.)

> Tonghao foming jing, one fascicle (three sheets; newly compiled above);
> Sanshi fa jing, one fascicle (sometimes written with the character chi; two sheets; newly compiled above).
> Regarding the ten works including the Sanshiqi pin, Sengyou's catalogue states they are extracts without specifying their sources. Among them, upon inspecting the text of the Pusa zhu kuxing jing, it is unquestionably an extract, yet it is still unknown from which sūtra or vinaya it derives. As for the four works including the Liu jing, I have now inspected their original texts, and they are indeed extracted texts. Furthermore, in the Sui Renshou Catalogue of Buddhist Scriptures, there are altogether one hundred and seventeen works in one hundred and thirty-seven fascicles of Mahāyāna extracted texts which also do not indicate their sources. Now, upon examining the catalogues of various dynasties, most have already been recorded. Its treating texts such as the Hu zhu tongzi jing and Tuolinbo jing as extracted texts is unwarranted. Since there is no reliable evidence, they can hardly be depended on. Having briefly described them as above, the remainder are deleted and not recorded.
