First, citing 'What the Buddha speaks of as the view of a self', etc.: according with the conventional world, and wishing to counteract and bring false delusions to rest, he therefore spoke of it. Next, the text negating it: it is not like non-Buddhists and ordinary people who say there is a real self and produce real views; it is also different from the Hīnayāna, where although there is no self, there is a real view.
