> Sūtra: “If a person says \[…\] what I have taught.”
>
> Praise: This is the explanation. If one says that the Tathāgata, in the ultimate or the conventional, identical with or apart from suchness, has something taught, \[claiming that\] words and what is beyond words, the expressing and the expressed, are real entities and dharmas, then because there would be something taught, there would be something not taught; this would mean that the Tathāgata's speech is not fully endowed. Because they do not understand the meaning, how could this not be slandering the Buddha?
