> "'not extinguishing delusion and craving yet giving rise to clarity and liberation;" The third shows that the outflows are none other than the outflow-free, which is the truth of the path. Sengzhao says: Śrāvakas, because delusion obscures wisdom, extinguish delusion to attain clarity; because craving binds the mind, they untie craving to attain liberation. The Great Being contemplates the true mark of delusion and craving as being none other than clarity and liberation; hence without extinguishing delusion and craving, he gives rise to clarity and liberation.
