> "Accumulating the multitude of Dharma jewels like a guide on the ocean." From here down is the third \[section\], explaining the benefit of obtaining the fruit, which has two parts: first, presenting the metaphor of the sea guide obtaining jewels. The deviant guides of the six teachers do not obtain the true fruit, whereas the Eightfold Noble \[Path\] benefits beings and will definitely reach nirvāṇa, which is why this metaphor is borrowed. Sengzhao says: "Leading sentient beings into the ocean of the Mahāyāna, gathering the multitude of Dharma jewels, they cause them to definitely attain them without difficulty, just as a sea master skillfully guides merchants so that they will definitely obtain luminous pearls."
