> "'The Tathāgata's body is a vajra constitution; all evils are already severed, and all goods are universally gathered. What illness could it have? What distress could it have?'" / Second, briefly revealing the true body. The vajra constitution is a metaphor for the unarisen, unceasing, eternally abiding dharmakāya. The severing of all evils is liberation; the gathering of all goods is prajñā. Sengzhao says: The arising of illness and affliction is caused merely by karma. In the Tathāgata, there is no good not accumulated and no evil not eradicated; with a body like vajra, what affliction could there be?
