> "'Raising the dāna-pāramitā based on gathering in stinginess; raising the śīla-pāramitā based on transforming those who violate precepts; raising the kṣānti-pāramitā based on the dharma of non-self.'" This second clarifies the gift of the Dharma through the six perfections. The mahāsattva, with a single hair's-breadth of goodness, universally gives to sentient beings, eternally eradicating the six hindrances and perfecting the six perfections. Zhao says: "Anger arises from the self; when there is no self, there is no contention."
