> "A pure and joyful mind arises from drawing near to the worthy and holy; not hating evil people arises from the mind of taming." A pure mind is faith: with faith and joy in the worthy and holy, one constantly draws near to the Three Jewels; not hating evil people, one is able to tame unwholesome ones. Zhao says: Drawing near to the worthy and holy generates pure joy; seeing evil, there is no mind of hatred.
