- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.116](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2777.2.116)

如是弟子畏生死故。色聲香味觸法得其便也　二合喻也。菩薩生死即涅槃故大悲無畏。小乘生死異涅槃故畏生死。又有分別故習氣不亡六塵得便也。生曰。苟惡之好得便矣。

> "In this way, because the disciples fear saṃsāra, forms, sounds, scents, tastes, tangible objects, and phenomena take advantage of them." The second \[part\] matches the analogy. For a bodhisattva, saṃsāra is itself nirvāṇa; hence through great compassion he is fearless. For the Hīnayāna, saṃsāra is different from nirvāṇa; hence they fear saṃsāra. Furthermore, having discrimination, their habit-energy is not extinguished, and the six dusts take advantage. \[Dao\]sheng says: "If one dislikes something, what is liked takes advantage."
