> "What are the eight? This room is always illuminated with golden light, day and night without difference, not taking the illumination of the sun and moon as its light; this is the first unprecedented, rarely attained dharma. Those who enter this room are not afflicted by defilements; this is the second unprecedented, rarely attained dharma. This room is constantly visited without interruption by Śakra, Brahmā, the Four Heavenly Kings, and bodhisattvas from other lands; this is the third unprecedented, rarely attained dharma. In this room, the six pāramitās and the dharma of non-retrogression are constantly taught; this is the fourth unprecedented, rarely attained dharma. In this room, the foremost music of devas and humans is constantly played, its strings producing the sounds of immeasurable teaching and transformation; this is the fifth unprecedented, rarely attained dharma. In this room, there are constantly four great treasure houses overflowing with heaps of various jewels, relieving the impoverished and aiding the destitute, inexhaustible to those who seek them; this is the sixth unprecedented, rarely attained dharma. When this superior person thinks of them, Śākyamuni Buddha, Amitābha Buddha, Akṣobhya Buddha, Ratnaśrī, Ratnārciṣ, Ratnacandra, Ratnavyūha, Duṣpradharṣa, Siṃhaghoṣa, Sarvārthasiddha, and such Buddhas of the ten directions all come and broadly expound the secret, essential treasury of the Buddhas' Dharma, and having expounded it, return; this is the seventh unprecedented, rarely attained dharma. In this room, all the adorned palaces of the gods and the pure lands of all Buddhas appear within it; this is the eighth unprecedented, rarely attained dharma." (These eight non-dual listings of inconceivable matters are evident in the text. What the mahāsattva displays must symbolize something: the golden light shining day and night non-dually symbolizes the quiescence and illumination of the Great Vehicle without arising and ceasing; second, defilements not afflicting symbolizes that those who enter the room of true suchness are without defilement; third, Śakra and Brahmā constantly meeting symbolizes that great compassion without external conditions constantly convenes with beings; fourth, constantly preaching non-retrogression symbolizes that wandering the path of true quiescence, the myriad practices do not regress; fifth, the music of Dharma transformation symbolizes that for those who abide in this principle, all words accord with the Dharma; sixth, the four great treasure stores symbolize that abiding in the treasure store, compassionate relief is inexhaustible; seventh, the Buddhas coming upon being remembered symbolizes that the Buddha-principle is in the mind, arriving as soon as it is recollected; eighth, the palaces and pure lands symbolize that the abodes of ordinary beings and sages are not apart from the Dharma nature.)
