> The precept against physical contact. If a monk touches a woman, and that woman immediately undergoes a sex change to become a man, it is a sthūlātyaya. If he himself undergoes a sex change, it is also a sthūlātyaya. If a nun touches a woman, and the woman changes sex, it constitutes a heavy offense \[for the nun\]; if the nun herself changes sex, it is a saṃghāvaśeṣa. If a monk touches a man, and the man changes sex, it is a saṃghāvaśeṣa; if the monk himself changes sex, it constitutes a heavy offense. If a nun touches a man, and the man or she herself changes sex, both are sthūlātyayas. (From the Daśādhyāya-vinaya.) If both are unclothed, it incurs a saṃghāvaśeṣa; if one is clothed and one unclothed, it incurs a sthūlātyaya; touching cloth with cloth is a duṣkṛta.
