> Regarding "Although the previous three conditions are also sovereign": this resolves a latent objection. An opponent objects: "If being an existing dharma that has superior power and function is called an adhipati-pratyaya, the previous three conditions also have this meaning; why can they not be called adhipati-pratyaya?" To resolve this objection, it is stated: although the previous three conditions are also sovereign, if all were generally called adhipati-pratyaya, then the four conditions would have no distinction. To demonstrate that the four conditions have distinctions, everything not subsumed under the previous three conditions is included under this and called adhipati-pratyaya.
