> "Toward one's own or others' views and their retinue, giving rise to greed and so forth as appropriate": what is shown here is that greed, anger, and conceit are not directly deluded about the truths. One's own views refers to the previous three views arisen within one's own person. The retinue refers to the mind, mental factors, and so forth that are simultaneous with the views. Others' views refers to the previous three views arisen within another's person. The retinue is the same as before. One gives rise to greed and craving toward one's own views and their retinue; if toward others' views and their retinue, one gives rise to anger; and toward one's own and others' views and retinue, one gives rise to conceit. Therefore, it is said that they give rise \[to these\] as appropriate.
