> Regarding "summarizing the above nine titles, it fully encompasses the distinctions of the three virtues and six meanings, hence he is called the World-Honoured One": As for the nine titles, they are the first nine among the ten titles. The tenth title is called the World-Honoured One (Bhagavān) precisely by virtue of the preceding nine titles. 1. Tathāgata; 2. Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha, which formerly was rendered "Worthy of Offerings and Correctly All-Knowing"; 3. Vidyācaraṇasaṃpanna, formerly rendered "Complete in Knowledge and Conduct"; 4. Sugata; 5. Lokavid; 6. Anuttarapuruṣa; 7. Puruṣadamyasārathi, formerly rendered "Unexcelled Person, Tamer and Guide of Men"; 8. Śāstādevamanuṣyāṇām; 9. Buddha; 10. Bhagavān. As for the three virtues: 1. the virtue of beneficence, which is the Buddha's nirmāṇakāya, benefiting sentient beings through wandering among the six destinies, because it has beneficent virtue; 2. the virtue of wisdom, which is the Buddha's saṃbhogakāya, because it accomplishes all virtues through great wisdom; 3. the virtue of abandonment, which is the Buddha's dharmakāya, because through abandoning all obscurations, it manifests tathatā, the substance of myriad virtues. As for the six meanings: 1. sovereignty, because he is never bound to any afflictions; 2. brilliance, because he is refined and smelted by the fierce fire of wisdom; 3. dignified majesty, because he is adorned with extraordinary marks and signs; 4. fame, because all worlds praise him; 5. auspiciousness, because all devas and humans make offerings to him; 6. venerability, because he benefits and delights all without slackening.
