> \[Treatise:\] Or they manifest transcending grounds \[…\] inconceivable.
> \[Commentary:\] This is the virtue of extending or shortening \[time\] in accordance with faculties. Hearing that kalpas are long, minds would backslide; therefore, they manifest transcending the grounds, stating that there is swift attainment. "Or they say, 'I, in \[…\]'": this clarifies the virtue of extension. Hearing that kalpas are few, they would not be diligent; therefore, they speak of a long duration to arouse their vigour. "Able to manifest such \[…\]": this concludes the multitude of virtues. Their wondrous activities are inexhaustible, beyond the path of mind and speech, and all are for the sake of benefiting sentient beings.
