> \[Treatise:\] "It is asked again: ... mostly cannot see?" \[Commentary:\] Next below is the second question and answer on the meaning of the function of wisdom being unable to be manifested. In this there are two: first the question, then the answer. This is the first. This question is posed precisely because of the preceding \[statement\] that "possessing the great function of wisdom can benefit sentient beings." "If the Buddhas..." first sets forth the doubted principle. From "how is it..." onward directly presents the objection. Sūtras teach that the Buddha's body is like a medicinal tree, and even its fragrance can bring benefit, etc. The benefits of seeing and hearing are explained extensively in the sūtras and cannot be recounted in full; those who take delight in it may narrate it.
