Relying on the mind's activation, it becomes the perceiver. Polluting the pure mind, it is called the defilement of perceiving. Reaching the ninth stage, one attains unimpeded wisdom, knowing well the dense forest of mental activities of sentient beings. Being unimpeded between self and others is called mastery over mind.
