> 'Capable of rescuing those drowning in the suffering of saṃsāra': this line displays the causal practice of benefiting others. Having harmonized and regulated oneself, one further uses the well-regulated chariot of the Mahāyāna to pull out sentient beings who are afflicted and drowning in the mire of saṃsāra. Because the word 'tamer' (tāyin / śāstā) contains these two meanings, 'tamer' is explained through these two meanings. Among tamers, there is none that surpasses or compares to him; hence he is named the 'unsurpassed, excellent tamer'.
