### [18.22](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.441.18.22)

> "The affliction-hindrances of clear understanding in the first bhūmi, second bhūmi, third bhūmi, and fourth bhūmi; the affliction-hindrances of various knowledges and views in the fifth bhūmi, sixth bhūmi, and seventh bhūmi; the affliction-hindrances in learning dual illumination in the eighth bhūmi, ninth bhūmi, and tenth bhūmi; and thus even up to the superior affliction-hindrances that hinder the learning of the Buddha fruit and the millions of asaṃkhyeyas of practices—such hindrances to practice are boundless and infinite. We disciples today with utmost sincerity and fervent supplication turn to the Buddhas, the honored Dharma, and the noble Saṅgha of the ten directions, feeling shame and confessing with kṣamā, wishing that they may all be eradicated.
