> He told Śāriputra: "Gain and sustenance injure the body and ruin a person's good roots beyond full description. One should simply count the breath and contemplate them with single-minded focus. If one takes this medicine, one is a great hero, a teacher of gods and humans, a tamer and lord of men, escaping the mire of desire, not drowned by the waters of the proclivities or the great river of emotional attachment, nor burned and harmed by the inauspiciousness of greedy gain. You should know that before such a person has exited birth and death, their body is fragrant and pure like an utpala. They are a gandhahastin among men, a dragon king, an athlete, whom Maheśvara cannot equal—a mighty hero respected by gods and humans."
