> "The method of curing it is: first visualize a celestial maiden of matchless beauty, with musical instruments spontaneously appearing in her hands, emitting myriad kinds of musical sounds. When the practitioner sees her, he sees this heavenly maiden exceeding worldly beauty by a hundred billion myriad times, and hears this heavenly music as matchless in the world; thereby he becomes infatuated, gazing at her beauty and listening to her sounds. Therefore, he should be instructed to contemplate the spheres of experience arising from this woman's six sense faculties. By the power of counting the breath, he sees six poisonous snakes produced from her lovely eyes, issuing from her eye faculties and entering her ear faculties. He further sees two birds resembling horned owls letting out great, dreadful screeches, breaking open her head, tearing out her brain, and scrambling to eat it. In her other four faculties, he sees cats, rats, dogs, and jackals scrambling to eat \[her flesh\]. Thereby he gets to see all female beauty as thirty-six impure and filthy things: the womb's roundworms serve as the woman's necklace, and the various musical instruments held by the woman are seen writhing in excrement, with vermin drumming and making jackal cries; the monstrosities she speaks cannot be listened to, sounding like the wailing of rākṣasas. He thereby develops aversion. He should go to a wise one, confess the evil and unwholesome deeds done previously, and sincerely repent. The wise one should instruct him in the contemplation of impermanence."
